Alfa Romeo Reopens Orders for Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio
In a move set to excite performance enthusiasts across South Africa, Alfa Romeo has officially reopened orders for the iconic Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models. The decision forms part of the brand’s strategy to extend production of the current Giulia and Stelvio range through to 2027, reinforcing its commitment to loyal fans of the legendary Biscione badge.
The Quadrifoglio emblem — first introduced in 1923 when racing driver Ugo Sivocci claimed victory at the Targa Florio — remains the ultimate symbol of Alfa Romeo’s racing DNA and technical excellence. Today, it continues to define the brand’s most powerful and exclusive road cars.
Both models sit at the apex of their respective segments in terms of handling and power-to-weight ratio. At their heart lies a formidable 520hp (375kW) 2.9-litre V6 engine, paired with a mechanical limited-slip differential for enhanced traction, agility and cornering precision. The Giulia is offered in rear-wheel drive, while the Stelvio features Alfa Romeo’s Q4 all-wheel-drive system.
Lightweight engineering plays a critical role in their dynamic performance. Aluminium components and extensive carbon-fibre detailing — including the transmission shaft, bonnet, spoiler and aerodynamic elements — contribute to sharper responsiveness and improved stability. The Giulia’s active carbon-fibre front splitter further enhances airflow management, while the AkrapoviÄ exhaust system delivers an unmistakable, emotionally charged soundtrack.
Motorsport-inspired styling completes the package, with distinctive five-hole alloy wheels (19-inch on the Giulia and 21-inch on the Stelvio), anodised grey brake calipers and carbon-fibre accents throughout. Inside, “Racing Sparco†sports seats in leather and Alcantara underline the performance intent, blending luxury with race-bred character.
In South Africa, the Giulia Quadrifoglio retails at R2 039 900, while the Stelvio Quadrifoglio is priced at R2 225 900. Both models are sold with a five-year/100 000km warranty and maintenance plan.
