Local Government Reforms to Support Business Confidence

Western Cape Local Government MEC Anton Bredell has outlined a reform plan aimed at improving municipal efficiency and restoring business confidence.
The proposal includes digital service delivery systems, faster licensing processes, and infrastructure investment in growth corridors.
Bredell said that while many municipalities are performing well, “pockets of dysfunction” still hamper investor trust.
Business chambers across the province welcomed the announcement, saying the success of small towns in managing growth and service delivery is critical to sustaining the province’s economic leadership.
