Summer Celebrations Return with My Cape Town Market at the Company’s Garden
One of Cape Town’s most-loved summer events is back, as the My Cape Town Market at the Company’s Garden returns from 16 to 20 December 2025, transforming the historic garden into a vibrant hub of food, shopping, music and festive cheer.
Taking place at 19 Queen Victoria Street in the Cape Town CBD, the market runs from 17:00 to 22:00 from Tuesday to Friday, and 16:00 to 21:00 on Saturday, with free entry for all. Set beneath the trees of the Company’s Garden, the event offers five evenings of relaxed summer celebration in the heart of the city.
This year’s edition places a strong focus on community, culture and creativity, bringing together more than 100 local vendors showcasing a diverse range of products. Visitors can browse fashion, handmade crafts, homeware, bespoke design items and artisanal goods, while enjoying a wide selection of delicious local food offerings.
Presented by the City of Cape Town’s Economic Development and Investment Department, the market provides an important platform for small businesses to connect with new customers and grow their brands during the busy festive season.
Live entertainment is once again a key highlight, with a proudly Capetonian line-up that includes Jarrad Ricketts, Theo Watt, popular drag comedian Odidi, and a special tribute performance by Leslie Kleinsmith, Lyndall Kearns and Romaine Robeiro as the closing act. Daily buskers will also perform throughout the garden, adding an energetic, street-style soundtrack to the market atmosphere.
Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, Alderman James Vos, says the market plays a vital role in supporting local entrepreneurs and creatives. It offers small businesses a chance to showcase their craftsmanship, sell their products and build meaningful connections, while giving residents and visitors an opportunity to support homegrown talent.
